Muji x Thonet = my wishlist

Bravo!!! Few years ago, my impression on Muji furniture product is only good presentation in the catalogue. But starting from last year, its new items are getting better although I have not bought any piece from Muji yet. And I know this time I have something to shop. I do like Germany furniture because of its extreme quality and you can find no way to complain. Besides, thanks to its minimalist style, many of its contemporary furniture are simple and easy to match. That's why I am so addicted to Germany brand.

Recently, I search for mid century furntures which are organic & human style. In those days, most furnitures are mainly made of wood and you can see how the makers presented their "art- piece". Some of these are still fashion and easy to match with comtempory interior. Browsing the design addict searching machine called design radar, (that's a really good tool, I can find Finn Juhl sofa poet!!!) I am attracted by this newly posted mirror. Still thinking of getting new seating furniture. There are many good pieces and most of them are out of my budget. Anyway, I was excited by these master piece. Here come some danish classic by Finn Juhl. The extra-ordinary organic shape makes it pop up in a living room. <onecollection>

Pelican lounge chair (I like it most with white feather)

model 137 inspired by Japanese furniture. As I expected, it is extremely comfortable and the most important is the detail of craftmanship on its walnut frame

Lastly, it is a Norway Says design sofa called Juno. It looks great in all directions and I agree with the description: it should be put in the middle of the living room so it can serve as a centre piece.

home project begin

Accidentally, I passed the Lane Crawford Home Store and it was on sale. Some items had significant reduction thought the price was still high.... There are some light furnitures that worth to take a look and give my home a new look. I like the Fritz Hansen coffee table and it should be a good deal comparing the price from the online shop. But, well I just bought one from Ikea.... I should not think of the other. The other budget item is a table called Frog by Naughtone. But my wife don't like the glass top.... Seems I have to pay the original price for something perfect.

Projector project II

Experiment time again. This is the pocket size projector that I think worth to try. Not because it is made by DELL but its spec: DLP, contrast 800:1, 50 lumen and a projector liked lens. Also Keystone - an extra function that I do not expect in such a small projector. It is hard to imgine a projector can be as small as a palm size 3.64" x 4.12" x 1.46" / 0.80 lbs. Just wait for one / two months, I can play with it and generate more fun with my home. <dell>

New Wall clock

Just received a news letter from plusminuszero, a simple analogue clock is released. the concept is to making it like a relief hanging on the wall or a sulpture. It sizes 250mmx250mmx33.4mm. Not bad with spot light.

projector project

There are a lot of news about how small the coming projector will be and commercial products have been produced and seen in fairs. Palm size, pocket size, pico size... even a phone can have a projector built-in. What for? to watch clips, games, file display and small group presentation etc. But I have another idea which I won't consider when project size is large and burning hot: Use it as an lighing object. Thanks to the ultra bright LED, these pocket size projector is so instant and cool with low power discipation. Now I can put it to illuminate a small corner with water wave pattern, moving shadow just like a big show room. Many idea is poping up now and what I need is to buy a good pocket projector with at least 500 lumens, 40 inch.

New Hulger USB phone

Hulger brings good idea by making spectacular VoIP phone, vintage handset with USB adapter. It is great but expensive. That's why there are many similar products which are much more popular. I bought a PENELOPE*PHONE last year and that cost me 160USD at that time. But later I found the price dropped quite a lot at the offical web, I think they realized their price is way too high. But be honest, their special edition is really amazing for collector.



















OK. This is the new product called PAPPA* made of wood and brass, a good color and texture matching but it cost 300...... Anyway, the workmanship seems good and there are some improvement on the cradle connector and the phone jack. But I 'd suggest some curve shape and more details on the base will be more sexy. <Hulger>

Piano Door Bell

The idea really attracts people playing with the doorbell. I guess if I put this bell on, a lot of kids (even big guys) will play tricks on it.

LX3

This new model of LX series has a bit vintage feel and the accessories are like collectable. Anyway, the function is still important. This model does not come with 16:9 CCD (is it still LX?) and the size may be too large for snap shot. Still, it is a must buy DC.

Robot motion training

It is painful to tuning the original setting but once it is set balance, the motion is very smooth like the one seen on TV show and exibition. And the appearance is so cute that motivate my work on enhancing motion and adding more funny actions.

moon light cabinet

I am not sure the black light effect is as good as seen in the picture, it is hard to see a furniture with a big flash in your eye. This is the one and surprisingly it is also manufactured by Ennezero; the maker of Tester Bed Vita Privata which is my sister's favourite four poster bed. Ready for new toy

Just placed the order and wait for two weeks, I'll begin my homework which I have no idea if it can be easily accomplished. Though, the kit has not been delivered, a lot of ideas pop up in my mind such as hand grip (like the R-blue) and motion edit to run as fast as omnizero.

sofa model 137

This sofa looks like the Japanese sofa but actually it is designed in 1953 by Finn Juhl from Danmark. It is also called the Japanese Model as it is inspired by Miajima water gate off the coast of Hiroshima. So it is a fusion of Japanese style and Scandinavina craftmanship. The chair's detail has a bit like Carl Hansen & son product. It is beautiful! <onecollection>

I have noticed this icon watch for years and finally it comes to production. It is dame cool to show off as a toy watch and I am sure it is totally unexpected to your friend. This watch is designed by &design and is now available in MOMA store. This Japanese design firm also has many interesting icon products such as light switch, door bell etc.

Magis has some attractive items in the latest release. This includes chairs and hangers, both are easy to match in home. If my sister can wait, I would prefer to get a black one than a chair one. This steel wood chair designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is available now at the same price range with chair one. <magis>
